About Us

As a manufacturer of direct fill containers for various food types, we supply and are audited annually in accordance with the regulations of the British Retail Consortium BRC/IoP Global Standard — Packaging and Packaging Materials, and all our materials are obtained from sustainable or recycled sources.

SPC was founded in June 2006 in a small factory in Rotherham. The two founding Directors have over 20 years experience in packaging and container forming. Their strategy for growth was based on service, flexibility and quality.

In 2008 their success led to A&R Carton taking a minority shareholding in the company. In 2009 the company was awarded best ‘New Start Business´ by Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, and was Yorkshire regional winner for ‘Achievement in International Business´ in the National Chamber Awards.

In 2010, having outgrown its original facility, the company moved to a purpose-built 30,000 sq ft facility, still in Rotherham. With this planned move in mind, SPC workedwith the Carbon Trust on improving efficiencies within the business. As a result high energy efficient compressors were installed, with full heat recovery to heat the factory. Power correction facilities were also installed to smooth and regulate the consumption of power within the business.
